Copyright and Takedown Policy
Darknet Markets Hub is an editorial and research resource, and we take intellectual property rights seriously. We publish commentary, historical analysis, and archival material about dark web marketplaces, and we have no interest in hosting content that infringes on another party’s copyright. If you believe a work of yours appears on this site without authorization, send us a properly formed notice and we will review it promptly. {site_name} responds to all valid takedown requests under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. § 512.
How to File a Takedown Notice
To be actionable, a written notice must substantially contain each of the following six elements. Notices missing any of them may be returned for correction rather than acted upon.
- Identification of the protected work. Describe the copyrighted material you own — title, registration number if any, or a representative list where a single notice covers multiple works.
- Identification of the allegedly infringing material and its location. Give the exact URL on {site_name} where the material appears, with enough surrounding detail that we can find the specific passage, image, or file without guessing.
- Your contact details. Full legal name, postal address, telephone number, and an email address where we can reach you. A reply-only address is acceptable if it is monitored.
- A good faith statement. A sentence affirming that you believe in good faith the disputed use is not authorized by the rights holder, its agent, or the law.
- A statement under penalty of perjury. An affirmation that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.
- Your signature. A physical or electronic signature — a typed name in the body of the message is sufficient.
Filing a Counter-Notice
If your material was removed and you believe the removal was mistaken — for example, because you hold a license or the use qualifies as fair use — you may submit a counter-notice. It should identify the removed material and its former location, state under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed in error, include your contact information and consent to the jurisdiction of a federal court for your district, and carry your signature. We will forward a complete counter-notice to the original complainant; unless they notify us of a court action within the statutory window, we may restore the content.

Designated Agent
Send notices and counter-notices to the agent designated by {site_name} to receive service of process:

What Happens Next
We aim to acknowledge receipt within a few business days and to complete our review of a complete notice in roughly five to ten business days, though complex claims or notices covering many URLs may take longer. Incomplete notices pause the clock until the missing elements arrive. We may remove or disable access to material while a claim is pending, and we maintain a record of repeat-infringer determinations.
